I almost forgot I wanted to do this!!! I wrote a little cute kid story awhile back about Valentine’s Day and I wanted to share it here with you guys. :D

One Valentine’s Day at an elementary school…
“Hey what do you think Valentine’s Day is about?” A girl named Claire asked.
“I’m not sure… I know everyone gets candy though!” A young boy named Christopher replied with a smile.
“Hey! Let’s go ask the teacher. I bet she knows.” Claire dragged her reluctant friend Christopher over to the teacher with her.
“Valentine’s Day? It’s about love of course!” Their teacher told them.
“Then what’s love?” Claire asked.
“Hmm, that’s a difficult question,” Their teacher paused for a moment before saying, “It’s, like red and it makes you feel happy inside.”
“Like this?” Claire pulled out a red heart shaped chocolate from her pocket.
“Well I guess that’s part of love.” The teacher replied.
“Part? So is love kind of like a puzzle then? I love solving puzzles! Come on Chris lets go find the other puzzle pieces of love!” Claire again dragged her reluctant friend Christopher along with her.”
“Ah wait! School is still in session! And they’re gone…”

“Alright so what’s also red and makes you feel happy inside?” Claire asked Christopher.
“I dunno.” He answered.
“Well think harder!” She yelled at him.
“Ah! Umm… umm… I guess strawberries.”
“Great let’s go get some strawberries! I have some at home!” So they ran to Claire’s house and got some strawberries. “Okay what else?”
“Err… flowers maybe? My mom is happy whenever she gets them.”
“Ah! There’s some red flowers on the table!” She grabbed a rose from the centerpiece of the table. And so they went all around the Claire’s house grabbing red things here and there from a red heart balloon to a jar of cherries. “Ok maybe this is enough. Let’s go back and show her Chris!” And so Claire returned to the school dragging Christopher with her. “Teacher! We found more pieces of love!” Claire exclaimed dropping all their findings on her desk. “Is this all of it.”
“Alright, how do I put this?… Love isn’t something you can get with materialistic objects alone.”
“Mater… wha?” Christopher asked.
“Things you can touch Chris.” Their teacher explained.
“What? Then we got all this stuff for nothing?” Claire pouted.
“That all depends on what you do with it. Perhaps you should give it to someone who you like. That would be love.”
“Someone I like?…” Claire thought about it for a second and then shoved everything they gathered Christopher’s way and smiled. “And so that’s love right?”
“Hmm close enough. You two better get going home, school’s already over.”
“Ah you’re right come on Chris!” Claire took Chris by the hand this time and started leading them home.
“Umm thank you Claire.” Christopher said as they walked together.
“Huh? Did you say something Chris?”
“Umm… um… Happy Valentine’s Day Claire.” Christopher said with his face a little red.
“Yup! Happy Valentine’s Day Chris!”
